Red Star Tavern schedules Grand Opening

Contemporary American menu in luxurious setting

City Center at Oyster Point will welcome Red Star Tavern in September. Interior improvements are now underway. The impressive classic menu of steaks, chops and seafood with a distinctly contemporary twist in a luxurious atmosphere, is certain to be a great casual dining experience for lunch, dinner and late evening entertainment. Special features: Monday nights, Kids Free; Tuesdays are $4 Martini nights; Wednesday, Girls Nite Out; Thursdays 1/2 off Bottle of Wine; Weekends will feature Sunday Family nights. Approximately 6,500 sq. ft. will include 180 seats for dining, 80 bar seats, in addition to 100 outdoor café/bar seats. The Red Star Tavern will be open from 11 AM to 2 AM, daily.

Thimble Shoals Boulevard Redefined

Dramatic streetscape improvements are now underway. City Council approved the first phase of the project in its May meeting and Basic Construction has been awarded the work, which will start at the end of June and continue for 10-12 months. Highlights of the transformation include new City Center signage on Jefferson Avenue and a European style, roundabout traffic circle at Thimble Shoals Boulevard and Town Center Drive. Approximately $8 million will be spent on upgrading the Jefferson Avenue intersection and transforming Thimble Shoals Boulevard into a lush urban streetscape with street lighting, sidewalks, and landscaping.

The Point at City Center and The Meridian at City Center

Architectural plans are being finalized. The Point at City Center will offer 51 loft and traditional style condominiums, and The Meridian at City Center 72 high-rise condominiums adjacent to the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
