City Center

Office Development Moving Forward

The original goal is to deliver one million square feet of Class A office space at City Center. Over 500,000 square feet has been built to date and plans are advancing for four new office projects offering close to 500,000 square feet of office space. A profile of each of these developments follows:

Town Center One
Town Center One
The Town Center One Building will break ground this summer and will be the first City Center development fronting on Canon Boulevard. The Class A. 60,000 square foot office building will be four stories, have a direct connection to the parking garage and has the ability to house a regional or national banking operation with drive through banking accommodations in the attached parking garage. Delivery is anticipated in the summer of 2009.

Fountain Way Center
Fountain Way Center
The Fountain Way Center is going to be located in the center of the project with frontage on Thimble Shoals, Fountain Way, and Mariners Row. Early plans call for a 100,000 square foot, five story building with commercial / retail users on the first floor and office users on the upper floors. The office floors will have large floor plates of 22,000 square feet and offer dynamic views of the fountain and Mariners Row District. A 2009 start for this project is anticipated.

Metropolitan Place
Metropolitan Place
City Center at Oyster Point's fourth quadrant has been the location of what the developer has called “the capstone development.” With the live, work, play amenities in place in the first three phases, the development team has reserved this site for the attraction of one or two larger corporate users - either in the form of a headquarters or major regional operation center. Metropolitan Place would have two primary structures - a high rise component of 18 stories offering 225,000 square feet of office space, and a mid-use component of four to five stories offering 120,000 square feet. Project is expected to start in 2010.

Expanding Brand Identity

City Center - making it easy to find and recognize.

City Center EntranceCity Center's brand identity will be introduced on all five entrances to Oyster Point. Signature City Center at Oyster Point signage featuring the compass rose brand and promoting “Shops, Restaurants and Market” will soon appear at both entrances off of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Jefferson Avenue, and the entrance on Oyster Point Road. The 170,000+ vehicles that travel these roads daily will easily recognize City Center at Oyster Point as a destination. These improvements are expected to be in place late summer.
